Being a parent, if you think that the education system will do everything for your child, better think again. The parents of current generation need to be prepared, motivated and confident to help their children succeed. Some parents think that once their children are in school, they can relax and the education system will take care of them, which is not the case.

Most of a child's ability to communicate with teachers and peers and express feelings towards learning is formed at home. Hence, parents please do understand that education begins at home first, your home is your child's first university and you are the first teacher.

Many students in today's society especially those whose parents are illiterate and children hailing from broken families do not have the much-needed encouragement or support which is crucial to their education.

3. Most importantly, children expect their parents' support in a positive way.
